Ukulele lessons take place in my dedicated music studio in shepshed, near Loughborough, giving a relaxed and fun place to learn. The Ukulele has seen a resurgence in popularity over the past few years, especially among younger children. Due to its small size and only having four nylon strings, it is a great option for the younger student. Compared to most instruments it is relatively easy to get started and be able to play a simple melody or a few chords. They are also easily portable and great fun to play, nobody has a frown on their face when they play a Ukulele.
I cater for complete beginners with topics such as how to hold the instrument, simple melodies and chord progressions through to more advanced players and solo arrangements of well known pieces.
The Ukulele is a cheap instrument to get started on, beginners Ukus can be bought for as little as £20, some examples are here
The RGT have recently introduced a range of Ukulele grades, they currently only run upto grade 3 but if they prove popular then the range will be expanded. Info can be found here –
Prices are £12 for 30 mins and £20 for 1hr
